Realme offers the Buds Air as a true wireless earbud solution that delivers seamless connectivity, intelligent features, and modern styling. The in-house R1 chip powers dual-channel Bluetooth transmission, while features like low-latency gaming mode and wireless charging enhance its functionality for modern users. Realme has officially launched the Buds Air in Nepal.

Design and Build

Realme designs the Buds Air with a lightweight and ergonomic build. Each earbud weighs just 4.2 grams, ensuring a comfortable fit even during extended use. The company crafts the charging case with a curved, compact design for easy daily portability. Realme offers the earbuds in three color options: Yellow, White, and Black.

Chipset and Connectivity

Realme equips the Buds Air with its custom R1 chip at the core. This chip enables dual-channel real-time transmission via Bluetooth 5.0, allowing each earbud to receive signals independently. The earbuds also support Google Fast Pair, which provides instant connection as soon as users open the charging case.

Gaming Mode

Realme includes a dedicated Gaming Mode in the Buds Air, reducing latency by up to 51 percent. This mode brings latency down to as low as 119.3 milliseconds, helping users maintain synchronization between audio and visuals, especially during gaming or video playback.

In-Ear Detection

Each earbud includes an optical sensor that supports intelligent in-ear detection. Music playback automatically pauses when the earbuds are removed and resumes once they are placed back in the ears.

Touch Controls and Voice Assistant

Touch controls are integrated into both earbuds to manage music playback, calls, and voice assistant functions. Gesture support includes:

Double-tap: Play/pause music or answer a call
Triple-tap: Skip to the next track
Long-press on one earbud: Reject a call or activate voice assistant
Long-press on both earbuds: Toggle Gaming Mode

Audio Driver and Sound Profile

The earbuds are equipped with a 12mm dynamic driver that features a multi-layer LCP diaphragm. Dynamic Bass Boost (DBB) tuning is also included to enhance lower-frequency sound reproduction while maintaining clarity.

Dual-Microphone Noise Cancellation

Each earbud features two microphones that work together to enable Environment Noise Cancellation (ENC) during voice calls. This helps reduce ambient noise and improve voice transmission clarity in noisy environments.

Charging and Battery

The Buds Air supports both USB Type-C wired charging and Qi-compatible wireless charging. A full charge delivers approximately 3 hours of playback on the earbuds, while the charging case extends total battery life to around 17 hours.
